International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. While women make up half of the world’s population, they are a minority in the business world. Only 7% of Fortune 500 Companies are run by women (Fortune, Jan 2020). More and more women are moving into leadership positions, however, these positions are far from being equally represented.
Women in the Self Storage Industry
Research shows that employees on a diverse and inclusive team produce better work, put in more effort, and demonstrate more commitment. There is no denying the importance of diversity in the workplace. However, the self-storage industry is statistically male-dominated and lacking in diversity. Fortunately, there are many groups that are combatting this issue and leading the way for women in the industry.
